Scan a product. Tell us what applies to you.
See what fits your body.
Three steps. The same product gets a different grade depending on whose body is holding the phone.
How it works
Same product. Different bodies. Different grades.
What you’ll see in the app
Five tabs working together
- Scan — type the ingredients, snap a photo of the label, or scan a barcode. Velrae grades the product for your profile.
- List — build a grocery list at home, then walk the aisle tapping each item to grade it before it goes in the cart.
- Today — six quick sliders for Energy, Mental clarity, Mood, Joints, Sleep last night, and Gut, plus optional notes.
- Log — keeps track of what you bought, what you actually ate, and what worked for you, so Patterns has a clear picture to learn from.
- Patterns — a radar chart of how you’ve been feeling, then plain-English call-outs like “try skipping these two for two weeks and see if your energy steadies.”
Two minutes a day. A few weeks in, the patterns sharpen into a doctor-ready summary you can hand over in 90 seconds.
The ingredients don’t change. The body does.
Built for the body you actually live in
Pick the lane that fits you — or just use it to eat a little better every day.
- Living with a condition — autoimmune, GI, metabolic, hormonal, cardiovascular
- Caring for someone — multi-profile + PIN-share for caregivers
- Perimenopause — symptom correlation
- GLP-1 weight management — protein density, GI-tolerance flags
- Eating preventively — Mediterranean, DASH, MIND patterns
- Just eating healthier — pick the goal that fits you (lower added sugar, more protein, less processed) and Velrae reads the label through that lens
Three signals, side by side.
Velrae isn’t just a food scanner. It’s a daily diary where three things sit next to each other:
That’s the whole picture. When you walk into your next doctor visit with three weeks of food + symptoms + numbers in one PDF, the conversation starts in a completely different place.
A page your doctor can read in 90 seconds.
Velrae writes a clean clinical summary every month — what you ate that’s flagged, your symptom trends, the patterns we noticed. You bring it to the appointment. Your doctor reads it in 90 seconds. The conversation starts on the third minute, not the thirteenth. See a sample →

Why we read the label, instead of looking it up
Most scanners check a giant product database. Look up a barcode, find a matching entry, read you whatever the system has. It sounds simple. It isn’t.
Product information goes stale. Manufacturers quietly change recipes — a new sweetener, a different oil, a swapped preservative — and the database doesn’t know. You scan today and get last year’s answer.
Most products never make it in. A regional brand, a generic version, a farmer’s-market jar, a brand-new product on the shelf this week — if it’s not in the database, you get nothing. Keeping a database of every product, every recipe change, every new release is a never-ending chase that’s never quite caught up.
Velrae works the other way. We read what’s actually in your hand — the ingredient list, the nutrition panel, the words printed right there on the package. Today’s label, today’s grade. Every time.
That’s why we can grade things other apps can’t. A brand-new product. A generic-brand version of a name-brand item. A farmer’s-market jar with no barcode. A recipe you wrote yourself. If the words are on the box, we can answer the question that matters most: is this right for my body?
And every scan you do makes the next person’s faster
Only the public-facing product information — what the label says and what’s in it — gets pooled so the next person who scans the same box gets an instant answer. Your health information, your check-ins, your diary, your conditions, your name: those stay on your phone. Always.
The result is a scanner that gets sharper every week from real people reading real labels.
